Fall Arrives

And just like that, after complaining last week of the heat wave and dry weather, it’s over! We have now, just since last Thursday, accumulated over 7.5″ of rain for the month of October. What is traditionally the dryest month of the year has now become our wettest! And excepting a warm day on Sunday, temps have now finally dipped into the low 60s and appear ready to stay there a while.
IF the forecast is right and the rain moves out by Friday, all I can say is THANK YOU! We have some rain to make things feel normal again, and the temps finally feel like fall. I love it!
The funny thing is what made everything change. You see, after pretty much ignoring it since last October, I finally washed my car on Saturday. That’s right! It never fails that it will rain within a day or two of me washing my car. It’s a little freaky, actually. I mean, it’s certainly rained since last October, but kind of odd that we’ve virtually had none until I finally washed the darn thing. I had been putting it off because I thought it was going to quit on me any day. I finally had to give in because it was rubbing dirt on me everytime I bumped against it. If I had only known… lol!
In fact, to celebrate, I’m turning the site orange until at least Halloween! Also, enjoy a new “Featured Tune” (*) from Jack Johnson, “We’re Going to Be Friends” (from the Curious George soundtrack). If you enjoy it, be sure to check out his site and his other music!
*Since I can’t seem to keep up with posting a new song every week, I have changed the “Song of the Week” to “Featured Tunes”. Hopefully you will continue to enjoy it as I post new music. Just less frequently. =)
